How to Make It
Four ways to make your matcha. Each one takes under a minute.
- 1Tear. Open one matcha stick.
- 2Dissolve. Pour into 2 oz (60 ml) of hot water and stir until smooth.
- 3Ice + milk. Fill a glass with ice. Pour in 6-8 oz of your favorite milk.
- 4Pour. Pour the matcha over the milk. Sweeten to taste if desired.
- 1Tear. Open one matcha stick.
- 2Dissolve. Pour into 2 oz (60 ml) of hot water (not boiling - around 175°F / 80°C). Stir or whisk.
- 3Steam. Heat 6-8 oz of milk until hot. Froth if you like.
- 4Combine. Pour milk into the matcha. Sweeten to taste if desired.

Even for iced drinks, start by dissolving the matcha in a small amount of hot water. This prevents clumping and gives you a smoother drink.
Use water around 175°F (80°C), not boiling. Too hot and the matcha turns bitter. Let boiled water sit for 2 minutes.
Our matcha tastes great on its own, but feel free to add honey, sugar, or your sweetener of choice.
